Morning dog walk 02/04/2011, My mission to photograph the Cromane Fishing Boats at anchor.

A lonely tender boat, they double for light fishing as well.

The two arms connected to the mast carry the trawl nets.

Early sun forming a natural silhouette.

Fast moving storm clouds add to this silhouette.

Another silhouette in the early milky sun.

O'Sullivan Bros & Cromane Sea Foods.

I see rain coming in those clouds.

Rain showing in the background over the Starboard boat.

Black as your hat as they say! & raining now, but sun still breaking through.

Cloud passed over, but still raining.

Rainfall over the mountains.

All photos taken with a Pentax K10d 55-300mm Lens.
Location: Lower Cromane, Co Kerry.
This was a very changeable morning, with threatening storm clouds. The light was varying significantly, as such,
I had to make constant exposure compensations, and aperture changes during the shoot. The rain eventually started falling, but the sun was just as determined to shine through the storm clouds creating
some interesting silhouettes. All of the trawlers are very flat bottomed, (shallow draught), to enable them to operate in just a few feet of water.
